This section contains a list of things you should do (DOs) and things you shouldn’t do (DON’Ts) when using the Easyhaler. This list only covers items known from practice to be the most important and most likely to be forgotten or performed incorrectly by patients; this information is in addition to the prescribing and other information provided with the Easyhaler.


  • Take the cap off
  • Load the inhaler in the vertical position while holding it upright
  • Breathe out deeply
  • Seal your lips around mouth piece opening the teeth
  • Breathe in as briskly, quickly and deeply as you can until your lungs are full
  • Hold your breath for as long as you comfortably can, then relax
  • Replace the cap
  • Check the dose counter on the inhaler regularly so that you know when you need a new one
  • Always heep a spare inhaler
  • Shake or invert the inhaler once you have loaded it
  • Blow into the inhaler
  • Store it in humid conditions
